  looking at the most recent wt the study article focuses on the jubilees.

  the made a separate box in the article to highlight the math behind jubilees, and i'm wondering if they're trying to get people thinking and stir up the pot without actually making a false prophecy.

  for instance: jubilees happened every 7 times 7 years.

  Flodin's story line does not add up. If Kenneth compared the original (which may reside in the WTBTS library) to the photocopy sent in by the lady, then her's must have been from the reprints.
  

  From that point onward his story line appears fabricated. At 06:30 minutes into his ramblings he says:

  One example I came through in my stack of letters. It was a sincere older lady it seems by the look of the scrawl or handwriting; it was probably an older woman.

  And she sent in a photocopy from a page of a 1910 Watchtower.
  

  And her question is "Why did your Mr. Russell say that you only need to read his "Book Studies in the Scriptures" instead of the Bible?
  

  I read over the photocopy and it looks like that is exactly what it said.
  

  But then I got an original of the 1910 magazine and compared, and very quickly you could discern the deceit, the trickery that was involved.
  

  When photocopying that page they put a piece of white paper over the bottom part of the page so you didn't see the bottom of the first column.
  

  And they are very tricky, they placed it exactly on a line where it sounded like when reading down the first column that the sentence completed on the second column.
  

  But what was in the first part of that column that they had made invisible with the paper?
  

  It was a subheading "SCRIPTURE STUDIES NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE BIBLE". And here is what it said in that text that disappeared with the photocopying...
  

  Besides, the whole thing is about omission, which the WTBTS can be accused of many times over. Would they call themselves apostates for doing do?

  and then, there is the video with geoffrey jackson (gb) clearly saying that the original name of god is not known and the use of jehovah is because of it is the most used variant in english.. link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwv_8ocvkj8.

  can someone tell me please when was the first time that the wts published something to the effect that the kingdom of god was born in heavens in 1914 / jesus enthroned invisibly in 1914 ?

  i see an obscure reference to an article in a golden age magazine in 1930 but i can't find the actual quote,.

  not looking for quotes that talk about the "coming" or "presence" since 1914. i'm looking for actual mention that the kingdom started in heavens in 1914. when was the first ever time this was clearly said in the publications?

  RC Was Worse Than I thought...

  i was visiting with my family and it seems the rc was worse than i thought.

  now they all seem to think that "we are so close to the end" and that the "brothers are really preparing us for the gt".

  some even saying that soon our message will change to a judgement message for mankind and talking about how we need to improve "everything we do".

  Back in 1969 they said this:

  "This judgment message has to do specially with the international organization for world peace and security, which the clergy have claimed to be the “political expression of the Kingdom of God on earth,” but which the symbolic locusts tormentingly proclaim is a mere man-made substitute for God’s Messianic kingdom and is therefore doomed to fail and be destroyed by God’s true kingdom (w69 p. 721 par. 34)."

  Perhaps it will be a flyer of sorts, chucked under your door, to proclaim the United Nations will be x-rayed to hell ... soon.

  Remember all those pronouncements (trumpet blasts) against the clergy? The countless resolutions to whoever?

  HTTPS (SSL security) Now Available

  i've setup an ssl certificate so you can now use https to browse the site.

  this creates an encrypted connection between your browser and the server which is more secure and prevents urls visited from being shown in router logs, content can't be eavesdropped etc.... there are also some performance benefits but they won't kick in until i make some more changes.. consider it experimental for now but at some point it will likely automatically redirect you to the secure version of a page.. you can try it by adding 's' to the http part of any address or just goto the home page and browse from there (some mixed content means you may not get the fully green https status in your browser just yet though).. let me know if you have any issues using the site..
